Friday Sketchers Sketch # 36 - the card that missed the deadline...

Our internet is finally back and I'm so happy!!! I made a quick post earlier today, and I had to use the computer at work during my break the be sure my card made the deadline lol. This one is a lost case for the wonderful sketch Bea made for Friday Sketchers last week, but I wanted to show you anyway. This is also a babycard that I gave to Hilde and her husband, they are expecting a babyboy in May. The sentiment "Hjertelig tillykke" means " A heartfelt congratulations"

On the inside I made a little pocket for the Bola necklace that I gave to Hilde.

These words in norwegian means " lying safely inside mummys tummy"

A little closeup from the back of the card:
This is an explanation for the use of this necklace. It is a little xylophone inside it that makes a sound that is suppose to be soothing for the little one in mummys tummy. The string is long so it will reach down on your tummy and they say that the child can recognize the sound from week 20 in the pregnancy. When the baby is born you can use it in the pram, in the nursery or other, and the child will recognize the sound from the time in the tummy. I think it's a really cute gift to give.

It comes in many patterns and colours

Thank you so much for visiting my blog, I just LOVE to read those wonderful comments you leave me! :)

To my englishspeaking friends I do apologize for not writing in english this time, but do feel free to ask any questions! I'm just out of time and without internet at home at the moment:(

Friday Sketchers Sketch # 36

This weeks sketch at Friday Sketchers is given by the talentede Beatrix. I had so much fun working on it, and I've already got some ideas for new cards using this sketch - so thanks for sharing! :) I'm a bit hung up on shades of brown lately, but I've added some shades of blue too this time. I just love those adorable Valentine stamps from Magnolia, they are so cute! I've made this card for a friend of mine, not saying who right now, but I hope she'll like it:)
*****
This weeks sketch:
The front: The sentiment says "Gode venner" and it means "Good friends" I've sewn with my sewingmachine around the blue paper, and I've sewn the brown ribbon into the lace and the heart with a needle. The swirls are punched out on my Cuttlebug and painted with Brushed curdroy crackle paint.

Just a little close up on Tilda with the tag. I've used rubons and the word means "hug". Ive glues some thin lace around the oval that Tilda is seated on.

Page 2 on the inside:

A closeup on the tag which says: "A hug is like a handshake from the heart"

Page 3 on the inside: I've used my nesties on the Cuttlebug, and also some more swirls. These ones are painted in antique linen.

The back:

Just a little closeup on the back

CS: Bazzill Canvas
DP: Basic Grey/Granola - Organic
Stamps: Tilda with tag, Norsk Stempelblad
Accessories: Hydrangea and leaves from Prima, small flowers from Papir i hjertet, Lace and buttons from Kort og Godt, Heartbuckle from Maya Road, Stickles from Ranger, brown ribbon from my dear friend Lim, Eyelets and rubons from Doodlebug. All edges have been sanded and distressed with Cat's eye chalk.

This is the first finished card, and I just loved working on this challenge. I love, love, LOVE, those brown colours!! Can you tell??!! lol.
